Amed is my favourite town in Bali. It’s in the remote northeast, far from the airport and the tourists. It’s known for great scuba diving and snorkeling.

I love the simple, happy vibe of this place. I love the impending views of the great volcano Agung, the colorful fishing boats, the Balinese families living here for many generations.

I love driving my scooter in flip flops and a t-shirt thrown over my bikini, early in the morning, to go snorkeling at my favourite beach. Then getting a coffee at a beach bar, and breakfast in my homestay.
